The number of centums in Biology, Physics and Chemistry has increased this year. Many experts feel cut-off for engineering MBBS seats in Tamilnadu to go up by 2 marks.

The marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry determine the cutoff for Medicine Courses. Qualifying marks is calculated by (Marks in Biology / 2) + [(Marks+physics+Chemistry)/4]

No of Students with 200 marks:
2011 - 65 students scored centum all Biology, Physics and Chemistry
2010 - only 14 had scored 200/200 in all three subjects

Marks between 199 and 200:
519 student in 2011 vs 182 in 2010

Score between 195 and 200:
3317 in 2011 vs 1553 in 2010

There are around 2200 medical seats available for counselling with Tamilnadu Government.
